Intended Audience:          This course is designed for persons with little or no experience with handguns, or anyone that has never received

                                            formal training with handguns.  This course is open to 16 and 17 year olds with written parental permission.

                                            Classes are limited to 12 participants.

 

Course Description:         This program will provide you with knowledge, understanding & experience with both semi-automatic pistols, and revolvers.

                                           Instruction on accurate and safe shooting skills will be given and demonstrated.  

 

Program Covers:                > Firearms safety

                                             > Nomenclature of pistols

                                             > Functioning of pistols

                                             > Marksmanship basics

                                             > Ammunition

                                             > Cleaning techniques & tools

                                             > Solid shooting fundamentals, techniques, and basic shooting experience

                                             > Information and advice on purchasing a firearm

 

                                           This program uses .22lr caliber firearms.  The opportunity to shoot 5+ different semi-autos and a relvolver will be

                                           given to participants.  Participants will also be given the opportunity to shoot a few rounds from a 9mm semi-automatic.

                                           Range instructor ratio is two to one.  Participants will learn to clean firearms after shooting time.

 

What to Bring:                  One day class participants should bring a bag lunch/dinner.  For the range portion of class you will want

                                           clothing that fits tightly against your skin and nothing open or low cut at the neck.  Hooded sweatshirts should be

                                           avoided (they can catch round around your neck).  No sandals, wear comfortable shoes that cover your feet.

 

Instructors:                       All instructors hold NRA Instructor Certificates.  Some have Law Enforcement experience

Course Fee:                      Classes are $130.00. (see payment requirement below)

                                                    Includes range fees, student handouts, firearm use, ammunition and targets.

                                           

 

Payment:                          Cash or Check.  Please make checks payable to BPR Training.  Payment MUST be received 10 days

                                          before class to retain registration, classes fill often, an alternate can be

                                          given priority in a class if payment is not received.  Cancellations received more than 48 hours before class will be

                                          refunded.  Cancellations  received less than 48 hours before class will be refunded if space is

                                          filled, less a $15.00 processing fee.
